A note from Jan:
The year of 2006 was a blur. Although we've been in our new offices (5635 O Street, Suite 101) for over two years, I just unpacked another box of books and another of my collections. Stop by to see part of my Coke and die-cast truck collection.
This year was a banner year, I helped clients evict over 800 people, recover rent and property damage, closed on several real estate transactions, sell their businesses, form profit and non-profit corporations, resolve lot line disputes, recover losses from automobile accidents and numerous other matters. We are still answering questions and drafting Wills, Trusts, Power of Attorneys and Living Wills.
I took a rest from my lectures and presentations, concentrating on my legal work and the Real Estate Principles class I've been teaching at UNL for the past 7 years. Again this past year I had more than 100 students in my class, and the class for spring 2007 is booked full again.
Carrie continues to be invaluable in my practice. While managing the paperwork for over 800 evictions this past year, she takes your calls and helps keep me organized and on time for court.
Richard Mahlin joined my office sharing arrangement in 1999.
Richard is a very able attorney with years of experience handling criminal
matters in the City Prosecutor's office, now working the other side. He recently expanded his practice to include veterans and social security claims. I'm looking forward to continued association, please call him

get in trouble).
Calvin Hansen has been with us since 2002. Handling criminal and civil trial and appellate matters in both state and federal court Calvin has helped many of you with matters beyond my experience. Calvin worked the Attorney General's office before starting his solo practice of law. Call Calvin (466-2744) if you need assistance in with federal or state criminal or civil matters.
Kurt Leffler is the newest attorney in our legal group joining us in the fall of 2004. He brings to our office experience in administrative law and has been handling criminal and civil trial and appellate matters, government law (veterans, social security, and unemployment) as well as juvenile, domestic and guardianships.
